Two crafts on one shelf

"Photo & video editing" is really two markets. CapCut and Snapseed win the phone-first, social questions; DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Lightroom answer the desktop-grade ones. The board mixes both because the assistants do, sorting by job rather than by app store category.

The surface fell in line

Last month the chat models led with CapCut while Google's AI Overview, asked for the best video editor, crowned Splice instead. This month the gap closed: the Overview now leads with CapCut too, DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro behind it. One of the sharper surface-versus-model splits from the first snapshot is gone.
